"To Keep and Bear Arms" is about the Basic Human Right to Self-Defense

There is a lot of emotion after the mass shooting Parkland, Florida. My gut feeling is that things are different this time and the nation is moving closer to gun control, which is why I feel compelled to write this post.

Let's set aside the emotional discussions about the 2nd amendment, school shootings, etc. The issue of "keeping and bearing arms" is about the basic human right to self defense. In a world where the predominant and effective personal weapon is a firearm, we must have firearms to defend ourselves. Sticks, knives, martial arts, etc. are insufficient when facing a gun. Without a firearm of your own, you are completely vulnerable, with no ability to protect yourself, your families, people you care about, from those who have firearms and intend to harm us.

In ancient history, the predominant personal weapon was the sword. I believe even Jesus Christ affirmed the right to self-defense when, at the end of his ministry, He told his disciples to buy a sword if they did not have one:

"Then He said to them, 'But now, whoever has a money-bag should take it, and also a traveling bag. And whoever doesn't have a sword should sell his robe and buy one.'" - Luke 22:36

The only purpose of a sword is to kill, and the modern equivalent of a sword is a firearm.

In addition, where do you think all of these mass shootings are coming from, suddenly and out of nowhere? Please don’t just believe what the media and “authorities” tell you. Look very closely at the forensic evidence and eyewitness testimonies to Parkland, Sandy Hook, Aurora and Las Vegas. Things are NOT as they seem.

In a CNN interview, a girl student present at Parkland, FL, said there was a rumor circulating among students that there would be a "fake code red" with "fake guns" that day. Hmmm, what? In fact, many students thought it was a drill at first.

Another student in a local news interview said there was "definitely three" shooters, describing a situation where students were moving one direction away from a shooter, when a second shooter came from the opposite direction and corralled them. She said there was a powder on the floor of the school (consistent with shooting blanks, not real bullets) and when the "army guys" showed up, they stacked the bodies in a corner and put mats on top of them so people couldn't see them. What??? Multiple shooters, army guys. And why did they ruin the crime scene forensic evidence by moving the bodies like that?

A third Parkland student said that, after the gunfire started, the allegedly shooter Nick Cruz was walking with her and her classmates down the hall. She knew him and was talking with him. Asked by her interviewer if she was afraid, she said no, because the shooting had occurred in another part of the building and there was "definitely" another shooter.

Maybe the four Broward County sheriffs who did not enter the building during the shooting were also told there would be a "fake code red" with "fake guns." Maybe they were ordered to stand down, or thought they were supposed to, or were complicit in a staged event.

Much more can be said about Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, Aurora. Again, look closely at the evidence and testimonies. I have and here is the inescapable conclusion: All of these are staged events intended to whip the public into a frenzy for gun control. It's the same protocol followed in some other Western countries where gun control has been enacted (Australia, UK): A mass shooting with many inconsistencies and peculiarities, followed by a media and political frenzy, followed by gun control laws. America is just particularly resilient about guns, so the mass shootings just keep coming.

We're being played. Don't fall for it.

Things Are Heating Up - Be Ready, But Don't Give In to the Hate

The Dallas "Black Lives Matter" sniper shooting police, Orlando "jihad" night club massacre, cell phone videos featuring police brutality. Things are heating up in this country and it is all by design. This is being orchestrated at the highest levels with the intention of pitting us against one another: Black against white, Democrat vs. Republican, communists vs. constitutionalists, Muslims vs. everyone else. Don't give in to the hatred and anger. The commander in chief intends to plunge the country into chaos and use it as a pretext for seizing authoritarian powers.

Jesus said this type of thing would happen in the end times:

"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom" - Matthew 24:7

The Greek word for "nation" in this verse is "ethnos," which also means race or ethnic group. It describes groups of people being pitted against one another, escalating into anger, hatred and violence. There is nothing to be gained by participating in this conflict. Our concern as Christians is to advance the kingdom of heaven, love one another and spread the truth.

But we should also be ready to defend ourselves, our families, friends and communities. Last month the Lord gave me an “object lesson” to underscore this point. An object lesson is what I call a real-life event that also has prophetic meaning.

On Sunday June 5 at about 10:30 pm, the kids were down, my wife went to bed and I felt like going for a nighttime walk since I didn’t exercise that day. A strange thought came to mind: “Will I be safe?” I wondered where that came from because my neighborhood is a quiet suburb on the edge of city limits. I did a gut check and thought, “No, I’ll be alright.” But just in case I tucked a gun under my shirt (I have a concealed carry permit) and carried a flashlight.

It was a hot night. As I walked away from my house, I noticed a few people walking behind me in the same direction. I wondered who they were because the only neighbors who normally walk that time of night were out of town. They disappeared and I continued walking for 45 minutes or so.

I returned through a schoolyard which connects to my neighborhood via a 50-yard path. Shining my flashlight, I saw what looked like a human form at the end of the path. Peculiar for late night on a Sunday because no one else was out. As I approached, I saw in fact three young men about high-school age, facing the path and standing still, almost in formation with one in front and two on his flanks. They were not wearing shirts and all had longish black hair that appeared to be pulled back with headbands. The scene felt bizarre and unnerving. I scanned their hands and didn’t see anything. So as I walked in front, I asked, “What are you guys going, just hanging out?” One answered, “Yeah.”

I crossed the street and heard one young man call to me, “That’s a bright flashlight. Where did you get it?” I looked over my shoulder and saw they were following after me kind of quickly. I mumbled, “I don’t know,” and picked up my pace. At this point I made a mental decision that if they rush me, I’m going to use my fists, unless one pulls out a weapon, then I’ll use my firearm.

I could feel a shot of adrenaline and then… Nothing. They peeled off and I walked the remaining 150 yards to my house.

Subsequent to this event I saw a dream/vision posted on Steve Quayle’s website (http://www.stevequayle.com/index.php?s=33&d=1789) that described a “panorama of violence that will soon take place in our own neighborhood streets.” This woman saw crowds of young people, angry and determined. “Some of the people had bandanas on their heads and they were on a mission to destroy. This crowd was lined up and gathered in the street and very synchronized.”

Young people? Bandanas? Lined up, gathered in the street and synchronized? That’s exactly what I saw that night, which confirmed the meaning of it for me: Things are going to get bizarre, dangerous and hit close to home. We need to be prepared.

Self Defense Is a Basic Human Right, Rooted in the Scriptures

I want to affirm that self defense using force is a basic human right rooted in the Scriptures and upheld in crystal-clear language by the United States Constitution.

"And He said to them, 'When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?' They said, 'No, nothing.' And He said to them, 'But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.'" - Luke 22:35-36

"Then I stationed men in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, the exposed places, and I stationed the people in families with their swords, spears and bows. When I saw their fear, I rose and spoke to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people: 'Do not be afraid of them; remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses.'" - Nehemiah 4:13-14

"Let the godly ones exult in glory;
Let them sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains
And their nobles with fetters of iron,
To execute on them the judgment written;
This is an honor for all His godly ones.
Praise the Lord!"

- Psalm 149:5-9

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." - U.S. Constitution
